Cari Brunkow

Cari Brunkow is a litigator with a deep commitment to client-centered advocacy. She roots her legal practice in collaboration and teamwork. Her approach involves working closely with clients to fully understand their unique challenges, identifying tailored solutions, and relentlessly pursuing the implementation of those solutions to achieve our clients’ objectives. With a background in large-scale litigation and arbitration, Cari has represented a diverse range of clients, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies to individuals in federal court charged with serious criminal offenses or navigating Section 1983 civil rights litigation. Her practice reflects her range and versatility.

Before joining the firm, Cari practiced at Jones Day and later served in the Civil Division of the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office. There, she advised the County’s health and human services agencies, Hennepin County Medical Center and NorthPoint Health and Wellness Clinic through the legal and logistical challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. That period, marked by urgency, creativity, and deep collaboration, continues to shape how she partners with clients.

Cari holds a J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and a B.A. from Barnard College of Columbia University. She began her legal career clerking for the Honorable Franklin L. Noel in the U.S. District Court for the District of Minnesota.
