We’re glad to report that seven of our people are on the 2027 Best Lawyers in America list out today, including Lawyer of the Year Dan Tysver. Best Lawyers has been using a comprehensive peer-review system since 1983 to honor the top 5% of the country’s lawyers.  “We’re grateful to our clients for turning to us to help them with their toughest challenges and we know that honors like this are possible only because of the hard work of every single person in our firm,” said managing partner Bob Gilbertson.

Here are our 2027 honorees:

• Sarah Crippen (Minneapolis) is recognized for Employment Law – Individuals and Employment Law – Management, as well as Litigation – Labor and Employment.
• Andy DeMarea (Kansas City) is a regular on the list, recognized for both Commercial Litigation and Litigation – Construction.
• Caitlinrose Fisher (Minneapolis) made the list this year in Criminal Defense: White-Collar and continues to pursue that work along with her vibrant civil-litigation and civil-rights practice.
• Matt Forsgren (Minneapolis), a three-time Lawyer of the Year, is again recognized for his work in Commercial Litigation, Criminal Defense: White-Collar, and Litigation – Labor and Employment.
• Bob Gilbertson (Minneapolis & Kansas City), receives recognition for the 15th year in a row, earning honors in Commercial Litigation, Litigation – Intellectual Property, Insurance Law, and Appellate Practice.
• Dan Tysver (Minneapolis) is recognized for his work in Patent Law, Trademark Law, and Litigation – Patent, underscoring his longstanding focus on helping clients protect their innovations and brand identities. He is honored as a 2027 “Lawyer of the Year” for Patent Law. This honor goes to only one attorney in each practice area and geographic region.
• David Wallace-Jackson (Minneapolis), also in his 15th straight year of inclusion in the Best Lawyers lists, is recognized for his work in Commercial Litigation, Criminal Defense: White-Collar, and Litigation – Intellectual Property.
